Online therapy
Imagine feeling calmer, more in control, and actually enjoying family life again – being the parent you always hoped to be. I can help you get there.

you love your CHILD but you don't always love parenting
You imagined family dinners filled with chatter, snuggly bedtime stories, and being the calm, patient and fun parent you always wanted to be.
Instead, parenting often feels overwhelming, exhausting, and nothing like you expected.
You’ve read the books, followed the advice, and tried so hard to get it right – but no matter what you do, you still find yourself snapping and lying awake at night replaying the day’s mistakes, fretting that you’re messing it all up.
It's not you - you need more support
Parenting was never meant to be done alone.
Humans evolved to raise children in small, supportive communities, but today, most of us are doing it with a woeful lack of support, while also juggling the demands of work, modern life, and the relentless flood of conflicting parenting advice.
No wonder you feel like you’re falling short.
But the problem isn’t you – it’s the impossible expectations of modern parenting and the lack of real support.

how therapy can help
Together, we’ll explore what’s been feeling hard, identify unhelpful patterns, and find practical ways to help you feel calmer, more in control, and more connected with your family.
Depending on what you need, we might work on:
- Managing emotional reactivity – so you can pause before snapping and respond with more patience.
- Breaking free from overthinking – so you can quiet the loop of doubt, worry and self-criticism.
- Letting go of perfectionism – so you can stop holding yourself to impossible standards.
- Building self-compassion – because parenting is hard, and you deserve kindness too.
- Creating more balance in daily life – so you don’t feel constantly drained and on the edge of burnout.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and specialist training in parental burnout, combined with my lived experience as a mum of three. I’ll be in your corner – part guide, part cheerleader – working with you to navigate the hard stuff and find what truly works for you.

FAQ
Online therapy is just like in-person therapy, except you can do it from the comfort of home, without the stress of commuting to my office. Sessions take place over a secure video platform (Zoom) and you book and pre-pay on your personalised Calendly link. All you need is a private space, a stable internet connection and a phone, tablet or computer.
Every session is different because we focus on what you need most. Some days, you might want space to talk things through. Other times, we’ll work through specific challenges using practical strategies. My approach is warm, structured, and action-focused. This isn’t just venting about how hard it is; it’s about finding real ways to make parenting feel easier.
It totally depends on you. Some parents find that a few sessions help them gain clarity and feel more in control, while others prefer longer-term support. I’d suggest you budget for 4-6 sessions to start to see some progress. I see people for weekly or fortnightly sessions and then space them out as we progress. We’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy is meeting your needs, and you’re always in control of how long we work together.
I offer sessions during school hours, Monday to Friday, 10am, 11.30am and 1pm. If you’re unsure whether my availability works for you, just get in touch.
A 50min session costs £130 and the fee is paid at the time of booking. I offer a free consultation so we can chat about what you need and whether we’re a good fit before committing. I appreciate that therapy can be a considerable investment but it’s one that has the potential to change both your and your family’s lives.
I don’t work directly with insurance providers, but I can provide receipts for sessions if you’d like to check whether your provider offers reimbursement. Since every policy is different, it’s best to contact them directly to see what they cover. Any claims or reimbursements are strictly between you and your insurer.
It’s completely normal to worry about this. Therapy can bring up big emotions, especially when we’re working through things you’ve been pushing aside for a long time.
But therapy isn’t about dwelling on the hard stuff – it’s about helping you understand your emotions, manage them in a healthy way, and move forward feeling lighter and more in control.
You’ll never be expected to go deeper than you’re ready for, and I’ll guide you at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you. My approach is practical, compassionate, and focused on real-life tools so you leave each session with strategies to help, not just heavy feelings.
It makes sense that you’d be cautious after a less than helpful experience. Maybe last time wasn’t the right fit because of the therapist you saw, the therapy model they used or it just wasn’t the right time for you. If you’re unsure about working with me then book a free call and let’s have a no-pressure chat about what didn’t work last time and how you’d like to be supported this time.
I’m a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience of working in a wide range of mental health services with people of all ages and from all walks of life. I have four psychology degrees (two of them doctorates) and I have advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), parental burnout assessment and treatment and parental mental health.
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy) are both evidence-based approaches that help with stress, difficult emotions, and self-criticism; which makes them especially helpful for parents.
- ACT helps you handle difficult thoughts and feelings without getting stuck in them, so you can respond to parenting challenges in a way that aligns with your values.
- CFT helps with self-criticism and guilt, teaching you how to treat yourself with the same kindness you give to your kids.
They’re approaches that I use in my own life as a parent and I’ll teach them in a practical, down-to-earth way, so you can apply them in real life; not just in a therapy session.
Absolutely. I’m a qualified clinical psychologist – I’ve trained to work with people with all kinds of emotional difficulties like anxiety, depression, stress, anger, grief etc. If you’re interested in therapy with me then please do get in touch to discuss. I’ll quickly let you know if I don’t think I’m the right psychologist for you and suggest a more appropriate person if I’m able.
I don’t work with couples or children, just 1:1 with adults 18+. I can recommend couples, family and/or child therapists if that’s what you need.
